What SNBT Is and Who Can Join

Seleksi Nasional Berdasarkan Tes (SNBT) is an admission route into state universities through a computer-based written exam called UTBK. Unlike the report-based SNBP, SNBT is open more widely: current grade-12 students, SMA/SMK/MA graduates of 2024 and 2025, and Paket C participants aged at most 25 by 1 July 2026. The basic requirements are Indonesian citizenship with a NIK and a student SNPMB account.

One key rule: participants may take UTBK only once per year. Those choosing arts or sports programs must upload a portfolio, and blind participants must upload a blindness declaration letter.

UTBK-SNBT 2026 Schedule and Fees

For reference, the UTBK-SNBT 2026 schedule is: student SNPMB account registration 12 January-7 April 2026, UTBK-SNBT registration 25 March-7 April 2026, UTBK held 21-30 April 2026, SNBT results announced 25 May 2026, and UTBK certificate download 2 June-31 July 2026. All activities close at 15:00 WIB on the set dates.

The registration fee is Rp200,000, paid through partner banks such as Mandiri, BNI, BTN, BRI, and BSI. The good news: the fee is waived for applicants from disadvantaged families registered as KIP Kuliah recipients.

Test Material and Program-Choice Rules

UTBK tests basic abilities, not subject memorization. It consists of a Scholastic Potential Test (general reasoning, quantitative knowledge, reading comprehension and writing) and a Literacy Test (Indonesian literacy, English literacy, and mathematical reasoning). There are 160 questions to complete in 195 minutes.

Participants may choose up to four study programs under the committee's rules for combining academic and vocational programs. Choices may cross majors and regions, including academic PTN, vocational PTN, and PTKIN.

How to Register for UTBK-SNBT Step by Step

Registration is done online via the SNPMB portal. Log in with your SNPMB account, complete your biodata, upload a recent photo, and verify your data. Choose your target study programs and upload a portfolio if required, then select your UTBK test center. Non-KIP Kuliah participants will receive a payment slip — pay the UTBK fee as instructed.

Once payment is verified, log in again and download your UTBK-SNBT participant card. The card must be brought on exam day as official proof of participation. Keep it safe and arrive early at your chosen test location.
