Indonesia's smartphone market is buzzing again in October 2026. The POCO F9 Pro and POCO F9 Ultra officially launched in Jakarta on October 5, 2026, while the Samsung Galaxy A18 goes on sale on October 16, 2026, starting at IDR 4,299,000.
The POCO F9 Pro comes in a 12/512 GB configuration priced at IDR 12,499,000. It is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V Series chip paired with a dedicated VisionBoost D8 graphics chip. The display is a 6.59-inch AMOLED panel with up to 185Hz refresh rate, and the main camera is 200MP with OIS plus a 50MP telephoto camera with 2.5x optical zoom. The 6,330 mAh battery supports 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
The top-tier POCO F9 Ultra is priced at IDR 13,999,000 for the 16/512 GB variant. It uses a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, a larger 6.9-inch 185Hz display, a 50MP periscope camera with 5x optical zoom, and a huge 8,050 mAh battery with 100W wired HyperCharge and 50W wireless HyperCharge. Sales of both models began on October 6, 2026.

Samsung Galaxy A18 and Galaxy A08
The Samsung Galaxy A18 also arrives in Indonesia with built-in Google Gemini AI features. Available from October 16, 2026, at IDR 4,299,000, it sports a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED 90Hz display and a 50MP main camera paired with a 5MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP macro camera.
Google Gemini integration lets users look up references or ask the AI for help directly from the device, including a seamless-action-across-apps feature. The device is also backed by responsive LPDDR5 memory.
For a more affordable segment, the Samsung Galaxy A08 has been available nationwide since October 2, 2026. The 4/64 GB variant sells for IDR 2,999,000 and the 4/128 GB variant for IDR 3,599,000. It carries a 6.7-inch 90Hz PLS LCD display, a MediaTek Helio G99+ chipset, a 50MP main camera, a 6,000 mAh battery with 25W fast charging, IP64 rating, and a promise of up to six generations of OS updates.
Not Yet Confirmed for Indonesia
Several other devices are also launching through October 2026, though their Indonesian availability is unconfirmed. The Huawei Mate 90 Series went on sale in China on October 1, 2026, the OPPO F35 Series launched in India on October 5, 2026, the vivo X Fold6 expanded globally on October 1, 2026, the vivo V80 is set to launch in India on October 6, 2026, and the RedMagic 12 Pro+ debuts in China on October 15, 2026.
One important caveat: global launch status is not the same as official availability in the country. A phone introduced globally does not necessarily reach the Indonesian market, so prices in other countries cannot be taken as the official local price.
