2026 Australian MotoGP Schedule in WIB

The 2026 Australian MotoGP schedule is on every Indonesian motorsport fan's radar. The round at Phillip Island on 23-25 October 2026 continues the Asia-Pacific flyaway swing, exactly one week after the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia at Mandalika.

The main MotoGP race is set for Sunday (25/10) at 10:00 Western Indonesian Time (WIB). The sprint race on Saturday (24/10) starts at 11:00 WIB. Indonesian fans will need to wake up early for qualifying on Saturday morning: Q1 at 06:50 WIB and Q2 at 07:15 WIB.

On Friday (23/10), the first free practice (FP1) for MotoGP begins at 06:45 WIB, followed by the Practice session at 11:00 WIB, which decides direct qualification to Q2.

Martin vs Marquez Title Duel at Phillip Island

Beyond the timetable, the main focus is the tightening world championship battle. Jorge Martin leads the standings with 355 points, only 2 points ahead of Marc Marquez on 353 with five rounds remaining.

Marco Bezzecchi has joined the title fight after winning the main race at Mandalika last weekend. That victory lifted him to third in the standings with 309 points. Meanwhile, Raul Fernandez, who won the 2025 Australian MotoGP with Trackhouse Aprilia, will hope to repeat his success on home soil.

The Martin versus Marquez duel promises to be the main spectacle, with the pair separated by just two points and both performing consistently throughout the 2026 season.

Final Race at Phillip Island Before Adelaide Move

The 2026 Australian MotoGP also carries emotional weight. This year's race marks MotoGP's final visit to Phillip Island before the event moves to a street circuit in Adelaide from the 2027 season.

Phillip Island has been the permanent home of the Australian Grand Prix since 1996 and is regarded as one of the most iconic circuits on the MotoGP calendar. The move to Adelaide has sparked controversy among fans who view Phillip Island as a historic track.

After Australia, the 2026 MotoGP season continues to Sepang, Malaysia (30 October-1 November), Lusail, Qatar (6-8 November), Portimao, Portugal (13-15 November), and concludes in Valencia, Spain (20-22 November).
