What Electronic Ticketing (ETLE) Is

Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE) is a camera-based traffic law enforcement system that automatically records violations such as running red lights, crossing road markings, or riding without a helmet. The system is monitored from traffic command centers in each provincial police force. The cameras operate around the clock on major roads, toll gates, and busy intersections across Indonesian cities.

Drivers caught violating are fined, with the penalty delivered via an electronic ticket (e-tilang) mailed to the vehicle owner's address matching the plate number. After receiving the letter, owners must confirm within a set deadline.

How to Check Your ETLE Ticket Status Online

You can check independently without waiting for the letter. Visit the official Korlantas Polri ETLE page at etle.polri.go.id/check-data-vehicle, or etle-pmj.id for Greater Jakarta. Enter the plate number (NRKB), frame number, and engine number as printed on the STNK, then check the data.

If there is no violation, the system shows "Data tidak tersedia" or "No Data Available". If there is a violation, it displays the violation type, time, location, and ticket status. Alternatively, use the ETLE menu in the Digital Korlantas Polri app or the Ticket menu in the Polri Super App with the same vehicle data.

Confirmation and Fine Payment

Vehicle owners caught on camera must confirm through the official link within a maximum of eight days from the violation. Ignoring confirmation risks a temporary block on the plate number, which also hampers tax payments and STNK processing.

After confirmation, the fine is paid via a BRI Virtual Account (BRIVA) — through tellers, ATMs, BRImo, or EDC machines. Keep the payment receipt to show at the prosecutor's office when retrieving any seized evidence.

Beware of Fake Ticket Links

Fake ticket links impersonating the prosecutor's office or police have been circulating via text messages. Such links can steal personal data or drain bank accounts.

Always use official channels: the Korlantas Polri ETLE site, the local traffic directorate site, or official Polri apps. Never click ticket links from unknown numbers and never enter vehicle data on unofficial sites.
