How to Register for the MyPertamina Subsidized-Fuel QR Code
PT Pertamina requires a barcode or QR code for purchasing subsidized fuels — Pertalite gasoline and Solar diesel — at its gas stations. The code is issued after users register in Pertamina's Subsidi Tepat program through the MyPertamina app or other official registration channels. Vehicles that are unregistered or lack a QR code cannot transact subsidized fuel.
Registration can be done online or in person at selected stations offering registration services. Since April 2026, a new rule also caps subsidized-fuel purchases for private four-wheelers at 50 liters per day — part of efforts to safeguard distribution, curb misuse, and improve energy-consumption transparency.
Registration steps via MyPertamina: download the app from Google Play Store or App Store; create an account with an active phone number and email (or your national ID number via subsiditepat.mypertamina.id); verify the account; open the Subsidized Fuel Registration menu; select the vehicle type; fill in vehicle data per the STNK including plate number and owner address; upload all required documents; then submit for verification.

Required Documents and Verification Time
Before registering, prepare these documents: national ID card (KTP), vehicle registration document (STNK), a vehicle photo, and complete vehicle data. They are used to verify the vehicle as an eligible subsidy recipient.
Verification typically takes three to five business days. If approved, the barcode or QR code appears in the MyPertamina account and can be downloaded for use at every subsidized refuel. If rejected, users can correct their data per the system's notification.
For smooth refueling, make sure the account is verified, keep the QR code on your phone, use matching vehicle data, and keep the device ready. Every transaction now requires the QR code linked to the user's and vehicle's data.
Indonesia's New 2026 Subsidized-Fuel Rules
The government began enforcing new subsidized-fuel distribution rules in April 2026. The main change is a digital QR-code system through the MyPertamina app to ensure subsidies reach the right targets.
With data-based recording, the government can monitor subsidized-fuel use more accurately while tightening energy-distribution oversight. Registering in MyPertamina is now the main requirement for anyone buying subsidized fuel — without a QR code, gas-station transactions are impossible.
Those not yet registered should sign up before verification queues grow. Keep the issued QR code safe, as it will be reused at every refill. Always refer to Pertamina's official channels to avoid registration middlemen.
