Morning Session Rallies, Touches 6,009
The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) traded in the green during the morning session on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) on Wednesday (14/10/2026). Exchange screen data at around 11:40 WIB put the JCI at 5,972.453, up 0.78%.
The index opened 0.25% higher at 5,940.68 and kept climbing. Intraday, it touched a high near 6,009 and a low of 5,906.74, putting the psychological 6,000 level officially to the test.
The rally recovered part of Tuesday's (13/10/2026) correction. Other benchmarks joined the advance: the LQ45 rose 1.26% to 596.610 and the IDX30 gained 1.24% to 332.257.

6,000 the Key Level
Morning turnover was about Rp10.69 trillion with 33.23 billion shares changing hands across 1.46 million transactions. Trading was brisk as investors bought in.
Phintraco Sekuritas, in its review, called the 6,000 area the key level, expecting the JCI to move sideways between 5,800 and 6,000 as long as it closes below that mark.
In other words, if the index can hold above 6,000, the door to further gains opens. If it stays capped below, the index could slip back into consolidation.
Catalysts: US Inflation and BI Meeting
Analysts attributed the rally to a softer US dollar and lower US Treasury yields. Investors are also awaiting today's US inflation release as a guide to Federal Reserve rate policy.
PT Mirae Asset Sekuritas Indonesia noted foreign investors posted a net buy of Rp81 billion in the regular market. Still, market sentiment was seen as fragile amid index concentration risks and market-oversight uncertainty.
The main catalysts to watch are the US inflation data and Bank Indonesia's Board of Governors meeting next week. A selective approach to stocks remains preferable to broad index exposure.
At the open, the JCI had risen 0.24% to 5,940 with 312 stocks in the green, 151 declining, and 500 unchanged. Early turnover touched Rp310 billion with 2.4 billion shares traded. Head of Research at MNC Sekuritas Herditya Wicaksana expects a technical rebound after the recent deep correction.
